Here are the 3 pages I submitted for this week homework.
It was the most difficult week of the course so far. Material was very difficult to approach and was sick the first part of the week. I hope I will have recovered next week ;)

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 36
One hour at the live drawing session. Could not do the full 2 hours.
Had interesting discussion with artists at this session. They were intrigued by the method.

Interlude
Tomorrow I hope I will be able to clock some drawing time. Today, I could just do this weak construction.

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 35
Again a pretty unproductive day. Just attempted first leg construction but re-watched some part of the video. Took note of the timestamp of each muscle explanation.
I need a strong drink!

Break
Finally finished watching the week 6 lectures. Will start the homework tomorrow. Nothing to show today except this warmup.

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 34
This week material, leg muscles, is very challenging. And unfortunately, the book is not very detailed on this subject. Still watching the 2 hours video about it. Here is the only thing I could manage, a weigh in gesture with the leg landmarks. Weak!
This is going to be tough!

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 33
Here is the page I submitted. Overall I started the week well but fell flat at the end.
Next week will be more technical, it's about the leg muscles.

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 30
My practice plan got derailed again today. This time, I could not even get past the warmup stage. Let's hope tomorrow will be better.

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 29
My lunch break at the plaster collection was interrupted by an interesting discussion with an art teacher. Could only complete one construction.
This one is not going to be in the Hall of Fame ;)

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 28
I did 3 full torso constructions from the artpixel website.
Shoulder region and pectoralis is still very tricky but I am making slow progress on this front. 28 days already!

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 27
I tried to integrate it in this week homework the feedback from Michael.
I am happy with the number 4!
But the best drawing of the day is definitely this one:

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 26
Here are the 3 upper torso construction I submitted to Michael for feedback. I did them this morning.
On these 3, I focused on getting the proportions right before laying the muscles. While watching others feedback here are the notes I took regarding proportions.
- bottom of pelvis to feet is half of the figure
- end of radius/ulna line up with top of hip
- ribcage 1.5 head, pelvis 1 head , 0.5 head between pelvis and ribcage
- sternum about 1 head tall
For the record, here is the page I submitted for week 4 last session.
After week 4, I dropped out. I was clearly out of my depth. I vowed to come back with better foundamental skills.

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 25
I did 3 additional torso construction at the plaster cast collection.
Not very happy about them. I am feeling better about muscle placement but I neglected the initial constructions. Proportions are quite terrible.
I also had to wait one hour in a waiting room. I took a magazine and drew small thumbnails of all the heads I could find.
Quite happy about the result, it's my best page since I started the course.

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 22
So I am back working for the class. Spent time watching this week lecture and last week feedback. Here is the first attempt at this week homework.
So I completely missed most of the stuff but I am sure it will improve over the course of the week.

Train interlude
I have spent 6 hours in train this week-end. No time to practice much. Today, this is the only thing I could manage. Front view of a locomotive I quickly sketch in Luzern station while waiting for my connection. I put some color on it because I wanted to see how this new notebook handle watercolor.
Tomorrow, it's week 4 of the figure drawing course. It's about torso.

Blonay-Chamby Railway
I am in Montreux this week end and spent half an hour at the Blonay-Chamby railway museum. I did some thumbnailing.
The first loc is a Malley 105. The tender is actually included on the loc, not in a separate wagon.
This is a diesel tow locomotive from 1900. Proportions look funny but it's very small.

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 21
Last day of head construction. One page done at the plater collection.
Here is the page I am submitting for week 3 of the class.
Overall, I am happy with this week. It was difficult at the beginning but I got more comfortable in the end.
For the record is the page I submitted for week 3 last time I took the class:
You can see I already liked to draw large necks and thick jaw!

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 20
Went again to the figure drawing session tonight. 45 minutes (actually the sessions are much longer but after 45 minutes I am exhausted). It was a female model with long hair so not the best settings to practice. Here are the 2 best constructions.
Did also a page of head doodling.

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 19
Heads construction again. One hour lunch break at the plaster cast collection.
And then one hour at the live figure drawing session. Did them on large sheets and had to take pictures with my iphone.
I feel I have a better understanding of the process than yesterday, but the heads still look barely human.

Analytical Figure Drawing Day 18
Went to the plaster collection to draw some heads during lunch break.
Huge issues with jaw shapes and eye sockets. Will look at Michael samples to try to better understand what's incorrect. Hope I can fix the issues before saturday. If you see something wrong I do every time, just let me know.
