The Voliere has a small bird skull collection. Very interesting to draw. Played a little bit with the markers and gel pen. Still issues with the consistency of the lighting. And I still don't understand properly the empty spaces in the skull. It's quite complex.
Truly exceptional. Louis is no longer "learning".
ReplyDeleteSteve, thanks for the kind words. But still a lot to learn I am afraid ;) ! Bird skulls are easier to sketch than you might think. They have clear basic shapes (sphere + wedge) and quite forgiving in terms of proportions. You should attempt them, I think it would suit your style of sketching well.
